The entire 7th grade has listened to the book, WONDER. I (Mrs. Cline) read it over the summer and loved it. I wondered what you thought about Auggie Pullman's story. Let us know what you think. Leave a comment!

i think the book is fantastic it showes me that no matter how the person looks on the outside thats not how they look on the inside ,and you should never bully people because of how they look.

I think this book is great and a good life lesson. Even though we've learned to be nice to everyone, anything rude you say or do can hurt the feelings of others. Always think of how what you say or do will affect the other person.

I think that WONDER was a GREAT book. I thought it was a GREAT book because the main character August was new to a school and that only 2 people liked him and then at the end of the school year every one liked him.

I loved this book because it is about a boy having trouble in his school. Even though he looks different than everyone else most people still get bullied once or twice in their life and they can relate to the book if they have. It can help them throughout the school year.

Wonder, by R.J Palacio, teaches you to be kind to everybody at all times, because even when you don't realize it, words can hurt others. This book really makes you wonder what it would be like to be in August's position. Overall, this was a very good book!

I thought this book was really good because it shows that no one's perfect and to not judge someone by how they look like when you don't even know that person. When maybe you should just give them a chance.

Wonder is a wonderful book it teaches you not to judge a person by the way they look. even though you don't think they will be nice or even talk dose not mean they are not nice. Just like Auggie he pulled through life even though people judged him. In all wonder is a awesome fantastic book.

I liked this book because it told the story of august, and how people thought of his face and at the end of the book he realizes that he does not care what people think of his face. August, jack and other students stood up to Julian because they were tired of Julian bullying august.

I enjoyed reading your comments about WONDER. It's easy for us to judge people who aren't like us. But there's a saying that unkind words are like toothpaste - one you squeeze it out of the tube, it's almost impossible to put it back in. It's hard to take back mean or bullying words once they've come out of your mouth (or been posted on the internet). Hopefully reading WONDER will remind you of that when the time is right. Like Norbert commented, just a little kindness goes a long way. It's a powerful thing!

The book Wonder, written by R.J. Palacio, reiterated the important lesson that you cannot judge a book or in Auggie's case, you cannot judge a person by their face. This wonderfully well written book has an amazing theme. I loved this book so much and I wish R.J. Palacio had started writing earlier

Daylin said this book was a "heart changer" and I agree! If it makes even one person stop and think before they say something mean or hurtful, it has done its job. Hopefully this book and its lesson will stay with you long after you've closed the cover.
